Victim goes hunting for attackers in Qld

Qld police have used a taser to subdue a man who armed himself with a chain and padlock and went hunting for three people accused of bashing him.

Police have tasered a bashing victim who armed himself with a chain and padlock and hunted down his alleged attackers, seeking revenge.

The 44-year-old man had been asleep when three people broke into a Bowen Hills home early on Tuesday and bashed him with a piece of wood.

Police located the trio a short distance away.

But as they spoke to the suspects, their alleged victim approached, wielding the chain and padlock.

"A male officer deployed a taser in order to subdue him," police said in a statement.

So far one man has been charged. The 48-year-old will front the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with burglary with violence.

Investigations are continuing and other charges are likely.
