Premier Denis Napthine has offered $100,000 to support humanitarian efforts in the Phillippines after Typhoon Haiyan.

Victorian Premier Denis Napthine has offered $100,000 to aid humanitarian relief efforts in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan.

The state government pledged the aid after Haiyan slammed into the Philippines on Friday, killing more than 10,000 people.

Dr Napthine said on Monday Victoria would send emergency services workers, forensic police and health and recovery specialists if needed.

"I am pleased to advise from Victoria that we will be making an initial allocation of $100,000 to assist in those relief efforts and support for those devastated communities."

He had personally told Mr Abbott about Victoria's support, he said.
