Police have seized $56,000 worth of ice from a crashed car in central Victoria.

Police have stumbled across $56,000 worth of ice while responding to a car accident on a highway in central Victoria.

Officers came across the crashed car on the Hume Freeway near Tallarook at 9.55pm on Wednesday and found ice and cannabis in the vehicle.

Shepparton man Badr Muftin, 27, was arrested at the scene and will appear before Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with drug offences.
