Victorian Liberal Leader Matthew Guy is confident he can get more women into state parliament at the next election, as the party wrestles with representation.
Just 12 women sit within the 44 Liberals in Victorian parliament.
"The majority of my marginal seat candidates are women and I want to get more women into parliament," Mr Guy told reporters on Tuesday.
"That is one of my key goals."
Fourteen women have been preselected for the Liberals for the November state election, mostly in marginal seats.
The Liberal Party's treatment of women MPs has been in the spotlight since the overthrowing of prime minister Malcolm Turnbull.
Victorian Liberal Julia Banks announced she would quit at the election because of bullying during the leadership spill, while NSW MP Ann Sudmalis on Monday announced she was leaving politics over "bullying" in her local branch.
