Victoria's thunderstorm asthma victims

Ten people died following a fatal thunderstorm asthma event in Victoria and a coroner will investigate their deaths.

VICTORIA'S THUNDERSTORM ASTHMA VICTIMS:

* Omar-Jamil Moujalled, 18, from Greenvale. Just completed year 12. Diagnosed with asthma aged five. Developed seasonal hay fever.

* Hope Marsh, 20, from Hoppers Crossing. The retail assistant was diagnosed with asthma as an infant and had hay fever.

* Apollo Papadopoulos, 35, from Thomastown. Factory worker diagnosed with asthma aged six. Triggered by pollen in spring. Hay fever sufferer.

* Clarence Leo, 37, from Noble Park. Security worker. Childhood asthma diagnosis. Regularly skipped medication.

* Ling-Ling Ang, 47, from Roxborough Park. Asthma diagnosis in 2013 but known to have suffered for about 12 years.

* Thao (Minh) La, 48, from Croyden. Spray painter and former smoker had breathing problems but did not have asthma.

* Hoi-Sam Lau, 49, from Mernda. Developed asthma in 1988 while living in New Zealand. Arrived in Australia in 2015, a year before he died. Hay fever sufferer.

* Priyantha Peiris, 57, from Roxborough Park. Suffered asthma and hay fever. Treated with medication.

* Min Gou, 29, from Ballarat and Bundoora. Car salesman had asthma and hay fever managed by a GP. Attended hospital emergency department every year due to asthma.

* Le Hue Huynh, 46. Part-time seamstress. Suffered mild asthma but it was well controlled.
