Two video referees will be used for the Rugby League World Cup semi-finals and the November 30 final, it has been decided.
The decision, taken by the World Cup match officials appointments panel, mirrors the system in use in Australia's NRL.
Panel member Stuart Cummings said the second video referee would "observe the decision-making process of the video referee and offer additional information where it is deemed necessary".
"The match officials appointments panel feel that this is an appropriate step at this stage of the tournament."
Australian Ben Cummins will referee the first Saturday semi-final between England and New Zealand, with Ashley Klein (Australia) and Henry Perenara (New Zealand) the video officials.
England's Richard Silverwood will be in charge of the second semi between Australia and Fiji, with Ben Thaler (England) and Perenara the video referees.
Ticket sales for the Wembley double-header have reached 63,000.
More than 280,000 fans have watched the 25 matches so far.
