Vietnamese refugees view footage of their rescue

More than 30 years on, a group of Vietnamese refugees has seen footage of their dramatic rescue for the first time.

Fleeing war-torn Vietnam, attacked by pirates and rescued at sea.

Minh Vu grew up only half believing her parents' dramatic story of their journey to Australia in the early 1980s.

Until now, more than 30 years on, footage of that rescue has been rediscovered and seen my Minh and her extended family for the first time.

Emma Hannigan reports.
