Virgin Aust names HNA alternate director

Virgin Australia, which is 19.18 per cent owned by HNA Group, says Chen Mingqiong will act as alternate director for Chinese aviation company colleague Nang Qi.

Virgin Australia has named the marketing manager of China's biggest private airline operator as alternate director to HNA Group's board representative.

The airline, which is 19.18 per cent owned by HNA Group, says Chen Mingqiong will act as alternate director for Nang Qi from Friday.

Australia's second largest carrier is almost 40 per cent Chinese owned, with Nanshan Capital holding a 19.99 per cent stake.
