Vixens lock in key netball trio

The Melbourne have secured three key players with Madi Robinson, Karyn Bailey and Geva Mentor for the 2015 trans-Tasman netball season.

The Melbourne Vixens' quest for back-to-back trans-Tasman netball titles has received a boost with three premiership players re-signing.

Australian mid-courter Madi Robinson, England international Geva Mentor and shooter Karyn Bailey are all on board for the 2015 ANZ Championship season.

All regulars in the Vixens' starting seven, Mentor and Bailey have signed two-year deals with Robinson secured for another season.

Robinson flies out on Sunday with the Diamonds to continue preparations for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Bailey is also joining the Australian squad as a training partner.

"I'm delighted to have signed on with the Melbourne Vixens for 2015. Our team was incredible this year, so it's great to see majority of the group staying together," Robinson said.

For goal shooter Bailey the decision to stay with the Vixens was never in doubt.

"I began my ANZ Championship career with the Vixens and I couldn't imagine playing for anyone else, so I am looking forward to building on the success we have achieved this year."

A key player in the England Commonwealth Games team, Mentor won the 2014 Sharelle McMahon Medal and was voted as the competition's All Star Goal Keeper for the third consecutive year.

The trio will join captain Bianca Chatfield, Tegan Caldwell and Joanna Weston on the Vixens 2015 playing roster.
