Vocation continues to sell businesses

Education group Vocation has struck a deal to sell another business, and indicates its strategic review is close to being finalised.

Troubled education provider Vocation is continuing to offload businesses, striking a deal to sell its health, fitness and beauty education provider for up to $75 million.

The sale of Endeavour Learning Group to Study Group will be completed once notifications are lodged with the Federal Department of Education and Training, and two other education standards authorities.

Vocation said the proceeds of the sale would be used to pay down debt and improve its capital structure after problems with two of its Victorian businesses saw it slump to a $273 million first half loss.

The company recently sold two other businesses for $15 million.

Chairman Doug Halley said the outcomes of Vocation's strategic review will be announced in coming weeks, along with new financial guidance.
