Italian Australians are eligible to vote for two of a number of seats in the Italian parliament allocated to citizens living abroad.
One seat available for a large voting division that includes Australia is in the House of Deputies, and one in the Senate.
In the Italian election late last month, Sydney resident, Francesco Giacobbe was the successful Democratic Party candidate for the Senate seat.
