Volleyroos go down to world No.1 Brazil

Australia's men's volleyball team have suffered a second defeat to world No.1 Brazil, going down 3-0.

Australia's men's volleyball team have again been outclassed by Brazil, suffering a second successive defeat at the hands of the world No.1 in the World League.

The hosts prevailed 3-0 on Sunday, which followed a 3-1 win on Friday to give them a two-nil sweep over the weekend.

The Volleyroos briefly held a first-set lead, silencing the partisan home crowd, before normal service resumed and Brazil took the opening set 31-29.

Brazil then stepped their game up, taking the second set 25-19, before cruising through the third set to seal the comfortable victory.

Australia will now head to Italy for a re-match with the world No.3, where they will be looking to avenge a 2-0 loss suffered at the hands of the Italians in Adelaide last weekend.
