Experts warn Vuvuzelas - the noisy plastic horns popular at sporting events - may spread diseases.
Tests show the horns expel extremely large numbers of liquid droplets into the air that can be breathed into the lungs.
Many infections, including flu and potentially serious diseases such as tuberculosis and measles, are spread through coughs, sneezes and personal contact.
Scientist Ruth McNerney from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine says a vuvuzela-blowing etiquette is needed and people with an infection should be advised against blowing the horn close to other people.
