WA bushfire threatens homes, lives

An emergency warning has been issued for an out of control bushfire burning in Bullsbrook, north of Perth.

Lives and homes are in danger from an out-of-control bushfire burning in Bullsbrook, north of Perth.

An emergency warning has been issued for the southern part of Bullsbrook, an area bounded by Warbrook Road, Railway Parade and Maralla Road.

"You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes," the Department of Fire and Emergency Services says.

The bushfire is moving fast in a northerly direction, it is out of control and unpredictable.

Burning embers are likely to be blown around homes and spot fires are starting ahead of the blaze, the DFES says.

Earlier on Monday authorities had downgraded the threat to a watch and act alert but a wind changes have caused it to flare again.
