WA councillor lashes parking company

A councillor from the City of Subiaco has hit out at multi-national corporation Wilson Parking, stating the company meets every criteria of a 'psychopath'.

Every driver thinks parking inspectors are out to get them, but a Perth councillor has gone as far to call out one multi-national corporation for being "psychopaths".

Mark Burns from the City of Subiaco said Wilson Parking, which manages 46 bays behind the former Pavilion Market, had three people watching "like hawks" to fine over-stayers $65.

Mr Burns said Subiaco's contract with Wilson expired in 2007, but they continued to manage the space and he was now trying to break that agreement.

"They meet every criteria of a psychopath," Mr Burns told AAP.

He said he received daily complaints from people about Wilson Parking and the City was guilty by association.

"I want them out of Subiaco. They make us look bad."

AAP contacted Wilson Parking for comment.
