WA couple sleepless after lotto win

A WA man who woke to the screams of his partner realising they had won $1.1 million says the pair haven't slept a wink since the lotto draw.

A young West Australian couple say they haven't slept a wink since winning more than $1 million in lotto.

The Harvey pair said the $1.1 million from Saturday's draw had come at a time they really needed it and would allow them to help their family and invest in their future.

"I was only expecting to cross off three numbers but when I had all six winning numbers I just screamed out and even woke my partner," the woman said.

The couple said they had not been able to sleep since.

Meanwhile, another division 1 ticket worth $1 million that sold at Kalbarri News and Gift Centre remains unclaimed.

Shop owner Simone Morgan said there was a buzz in the mid-west about the mystery winner of last Monday night's draw.

"We are all super excited, it's a wonderful feeling to know someone here has had a big win," Ms Morgan said.

"There are so many deserving people in the community we would love this prize to go to."
