WA dangerous sex offender breaches order

A dangerous sex offender in Western Australia has breached his supervision order while helping a woman search for her children.

A dangerous sex offender has breached a condition of his supervision order while helping a mother search for her two children.

Patrick Alfred Dennis Comeagain, 41, was released from prison in June last year with strict conditions including a curfew and no contact with children.

He pleaded guilty in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday to breaching the terms of his release when he was approached by a woman at a shopping centre who sought his help to find her children.

The court heard that Comeagain, who now goes by a different name, told security officers that he was listed as a dangerous sex offender.

Comeagain has spent most of his adult life behind bars and has a long criminal record that includes five offences against a nine-year-old girl in 1994 and the sexual assault of women.

He was fined $1000 in August last year after he attended a family gathering where children were present.
