A union has struck a deal with the West Australian government preventing privatisation of public hospitals for the next two years.
A United Voice spokeswoman said the union would recommend to its members a two-year enterprise bargaining agreement, representing a wage increase of 2.25 per cent in the first year and 2.5 per cent in the second.
United Voice had threatened continued hospital strikes ahead of Wednesday's meeting if an agreement was not reached.
