WA man charged over child porn DVDs

A Perth man has been charged after a customer purchasing what he thought was adult porn allegedly found child exploitation images on a DVD.

A 72-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly sold a child pornography DVD instead of adult pornography to a man at a car park market in Perth's northern suburbs.

The customer was watching one of the DVDs when he realised there was child exploitation material on it and contacted police.

On Friday, police seized about 120 pornographic DVDs from the seller, with two allegedly containing child exploitation material.

He has been charged with one count each of possessing child exploitation material and possessing an unclassified film with intent to sell.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on March 4.
