WA man Ben Gerring, 29, has died four days after a shark attacked him while surfing off Falcon, near Mandurah south of Perth.
The man, who lost a leg in the incident, died at Royal Perth Hospital overnight.
The damage to Mr Gerring's surfboard indicated he was attacked by a great white shark, the WA Department of Fisheries said earlier this week.
It comes after a great white shark died after being hooked on a drum line on Wednesday.

The family told Channel Seven Mr Gerring's serious condition meant he was unable to undergo surgery.
