WA man missing after midnight ocean swim

A 40-year-old man is missing after going for a midnight swim in the ocean and taking a lift to Fremantle train station, leaving his car and belongings.

A 40-year-old man is missing after going for a midnight swim in the ocean before being dropped off at Fremantle train station.

Daniel Alexander McCartney, went swimming just after midnight on Sunday in the Fremantle Bathers Beach area before being driven to Fremantle train station to collect his car.

His family reported him missing after his car was found still parked at the station and his clothes and mobile phone were found nearby.

Mr McCartney is 179cm tall has fair skinned with brown hair, blue eyes and a slim build.
