WA Police are investigating an alleged assault of a prisoner at Wooroloo Prison Farm east of Perth.

WA Police are investigating the alleged assault of a prisoner at a low-security prison farm east of Perth.

The incident occurred at the Wooroloo Prison Farm about 6pm (WST) on Monday.

West Australian police have denied media reports saying the victim was dead.
