Wade, Head reprimanded for BBL send-offs

BBL stars Matthew Wade and Travis Head have avoided fines despite breaching the code of conduct while celebrating the dismissal of batsmen.

Matthew Wade and Travis Head have been reprimanded for code of conduct breaches in sending off dismissed batsmen during BBL games.

The players were not fined despite being deemed to have harmed the game's image, and escaped with reprimands recommended by match referees.

Adelaide captain Head earned the ire of officials for diverting towards Jimmy Peirson after the Brisbane batsman's dismissal during the Strikers' win on New Year's Eve.

Former Test wicketkeeper Wade received a rebuke after getting in the face of Sydney Thunder batsman Jos Buttler after running him out on January 1.

The incident occurred with Buttler on 81 and the Thunder requiring 23 runs off six balls before Wade's Hobart claimed a nine-run win.
