Jarrod Wallace's World Cup hopes have taken a hit, with the Gold Coast forward suspended for three weeks for a shoulder charge.
The Gold Coast confirmed on Monday they would enter an early guilty plea for the Queensland State of Origin prop, after he was hit with a grade-three charge following a shot on Moses Mbye in Saturday's loss to Canterbury.
The early plea will ensure he avoids a lengthier ban of five matches, however it means he will miss the first two games of Australia's World Cup campaign if he is selected in Mal Meninga's squad.
The 26-year-old was considered a possible bolter for the tournament, after he debuted for the Maroons in this year's State of Origin series.
If he misses selection for the Kangaroos, the ban will linger into the first two games of the 2018 season for the Titans.
Meanwhile South Sydney prop Zane Musgrove's NRL season is also over, after he pleaded guilty to a grade-one shoulder charge, resulting in a one-week ban.
The Wests Tigers will also lose hooker Matt McIlwrick and centre Michael Chee Kam for Sunday's clash with the Warriors after they each entered guilty pleas for dangerous contact and shoulder charge offences respectively.
