He hasn't forgotten his Sri Lanka struggles but Australian batsman David Warner is happy to keep riding his good form heading into the Test summer.
Warner belted a brilliant 173 to almost single-handedly lift Australia to victory against South Africa in Wednesday's final one-day international at Cape Town.
Warner's knock wasn't enough to prevent a 31-run defeat and a 5-0 series whitewash but did ensure he left the Rainbow Nation as the series' highest run-scorer.
The left-hander has now scored 1089 runs in one-day cricket this year including five centuries - equalling a record set by Ricky Ponting (twice) and Matthew Hayden for most ODI hundreds by an Australian in one year.
His 386 runs in the five-match series also breaks Geoff Marsh's 1991 record of 349 runs for the most by an Australian in a five-match bilateral ODI series.
"I've just got to keep on riding that rollercoaster," Warner said.
"When you're in form, you've got to keep riding it ... there's a lot of bad days in this game but you've got to think positive, that a big one's around the corner."
Warner has earned praise in recent times for his changed attitude on and off the field.
He found himself the target of anger from Proteas' leg-spinner Imran Tahir during his mammoth knock at Newlands but, for once, believed he'd done nothing to irritate a rival player.
"I honestly have no idea what sparked it," Warner said.
"For the first time in my life I didn't say anything."
As to whether his South Africa series can lead to further success over the Proteas in next month's return Test series in Australia, Warner was keeping a lid on expectations.
"It's about going back home and concentrating on what we have to do and for some of us it's white ball cricket and some of us it's red ball/pink ball," Warner said.
"We've just go to focus on that and what our jobs are at hand there."
