For all the wreckage of Australia's disastrous Test series in Sri Lanka this year, one benefit might be the rebirth of opener David Warner.
Teammates have been quick to acknowledge Warner's obvious decision to banish negative thoughts from his mind in the wake of the 3-0 humbling by the Sri Lankans.
Since then Warner has led his country to one-day and Twenty20 success in Sri Lanka and has been one of Australia's most consistent performers on their one-day tour of South Africa.
The left-hander has made 207 runs in the opening three matches of the five-game series including 117 in Wednesday's third ODI at Durban - the highest score by an Australian opener against South Africa in an ODI.
One of Warner's teammates, when discussing his change of mindset, was overheard to say "I like the new bull" referring to Warner's nickname.
His opening partner Aaron Finch says no-one was 100 per cent sure about Warner's intention when he announced his new focus on positivity but it has been a case of so far, so good for the player and his team.
"After Sri Lanka Davey was obviously pretty down and throughout that whole Test series everyone was a bit flat," Finch said.
"Now he's just turned the tables and gone ultra-positive and it's something that's rubbing off on the other boys.
"We didn't know whether it was legitimate or he was taking the mickey but he's just ultra-positive around the group.
"We'll see how long it lasts but it's something that's been excellent around the boys especially on a tough tour like this where we've been beaten so far."
