Warning to travellers over Philippines measles outbreak

A measles outbreak in the Philippines has prompted Australian authorities to warn people travelling there to ensure they are fully immunised against the condition.

New South Wales Health Medical epidemiologist Doctor Christine Selvey says New South Wales has seen at least six cases associated with travel to the Philippines

Dr Selvey told Georgie Moore, the outbreak is related to Typhoon Haiyan, which hit the country late last year.
