Warrior Peyroux moving to St Helens

English rugby league side St Helens have signed Warriors utility player Dominique Peyroux for two years from next season.

St Helens have signed Samoa international Dominique Peyroux from the Warriors on a two-year contract from next season.

The 26-year-old centre or second-row forward played for Cook Islands in the 2013 World Cup before switching his allegiance and represented Samoa in last year's Four Nations Series.

"Dominique is a versatile player who can cover a multitude of positions," St Helens coach Keiron Cunningham said.

"He is a proven NRL player, has a keen eye for the line and will fit well into the systems we have here at the Saints.

"We're looking forward to him joining us next season."

Peyroux played his junior rugby league in New Zealand for Otahuhu, Mangere East and Papatoetoe before moving to Australia at the age of 15 and played for Newtown Jets before joining Gold Coast Titans in 2011.

He made 16 appearances in the NRL for the Titans before joining the Warriors and made the first of his 22 appearances for them against Brisbane in June 2013.

Peyroux is St Helens' second confirmed recruit for 2016 following the signing of Salford's former Brisbane forward Lama Tasi.
