Warriors prop Charlie Gubb is facing up to seven weeks on the NRL sidelines for a shoulder charge on Darcy Lussick in Manly's win in Perth on Saturday.

Gubb was hit with a grade two shoulder charge by the NRL match review committee on Sunday for the tackle which happened in the first half of the Sea Eagles' 15-14 golden point win at nib Stadium.

The base penalty for the charge is 350 demerit points and subsequently a three-match ban. But Gubb has heavy loading due to two similar offences in the last two years.

If Gubb takes the early guilty plea he will accrue 525 demerit points and miss five matches.

However if he decides to fight the charge at the NRL judiciary and loses he will sit out seven matches and his season will be over unless the Warriors qualify for the finals.

Gubb is the second player hit with a significant shoulder charge citation this week. Greg Inglis was banned for three matches for his hit on Josh Dugan in State of Origin III.
