WA's Pilbara faces flooding possibility

Some areas of the Pilbara district in WA could receive more than 90mm of rainfall over the next few days, the Bureau of Meteorology says.

People in the Pilbara district of Western Australia should prepare for the possibility of flooding and to relocate equipment and livestock.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast until Wednesday for areas between Onslow and Bidyadanga, with possible falls of more than 90mm in some coastal areas, the Bureau of Meteorology says.

Catchments that may be affected by flooding include the Pilbara coastal rivers, Onslow coast rivers, De Grey River basin and Lower Fortescue River.
