Who shot JFK? How were the pyramids built? And was Ross Lyon really flossing in the coaches' box?
We may never know the true answers to the first two mysteries, but Fremantle coach Lyon has given his take on the third question - he wasn't flossing.
Lyon was criticised after he was filmed holding a flosser near his mouth during the third quarter of Sunday's 61-point loss to Collingwood at the MCG.
The Dockers trailed 62-28 at the time, and they finished the quarter down 93-34.
Lyon has since been quizzed by the media about 'Flossgate', and he was quick to play it down.
"I've subconsciously pulled it out of my pocket," Lyon told Channel 7.
"I often doodle with a pen. I certainly wasn't flossing.
"The footage that was shown, I was talking to my coaches at the same time.
"A lot has been made of it. I understand the novelty value. For 272 games and a number of finals I've never flossed.
"I wouldn't think it's something that you would see regularly, and in my opinion I certainly wasn't flossing."
The pressure is building on Lyon following three straight losses, but the 12th-year coach has pleaded for patience from the club's fans.
Fremantle fielded six first-year players against the Magpies, with the side also featuring a host of other youngsters.
The Dockers will be without Nat Fyfe for Sunday's home clash with Adelaide after the star skipper failed to have his one-match ban overturned at the tribunal.
But Lyon is optimistic ruckman Aaron Sandilands will be fit to return from a bout of concussion.
Lyon is also confident Alex Pearce (ankle) will be fit to play.
Harley Bennell is a chance to play again in the WAFL, despite experiencing calf tightness last week.
Andrew Brayshaw has been one of Fremantle's emerging stars this season, and the 18-year-old is confident the side can cover for the loss of Fyfe.
"He's a very good player and he's a great leader, but we've got lots of great leaders and players in my opinion," Brayshaw said.
"He will be missed, but I think we'll be fine without him.
"I guess there might be a few more minutes for me (in the midfield).
"But Sonny Walters might come through the middle, and Adam Cerra might get a bit more of a run.
"We've got the players to do it, so we'll be alright."
Crows forward Tom Lynch (side strain) is set to miss Sunday's match, while defender Rory Laird (fractured hand) is in doubt.
Veteran midfielder Richard Douglas will have an eye injury monitored this week.
