You don't have to be a mountain bike rider to appreciate the athleticism of the sport, as this video clearly illustrates.
The four-minute clip, filmed entirely in one shot, features Canadian mountain biker Brandon Semenuk spinning, flipping and jumping through a course with seemingly effortless ease.
The camera, which action sports media company Teton Gravity calls “the most advanced gyro-stabilized camera system in the world” was mounted on a truck which followed the mountain biker along a custom-build road which took months to build.
“If you're feeling it, this hypnotic ... mountain bike ride to the tune of For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield is just what you need to suddenly take you out of the inside of your head for four minutes and recharge your batteries,” writes author David Amerland in the video's comments.
The cinematic achievement required careful coordination between Semenuk, production house Anthill Films, and Teton Gravity with regard to planning, timing and logistics - and, of course, the skill of the rider.
Injured at the time, Semenuk only hit the full riding track once.
