Watson and Gayle make amends

Shane Watson was critical of Chris Gayle in this summer's Big Bash League, but the pair appear to have moved on as teammates in the Indian Premier League.

Shane Watson and Chris Gayle appear to have overcome their bad blood, posing for a photo together ahead of their Indian Premier League campaign with the Royal Challengers.

Watson was heavily critical of Gayle in the aftermath of the "don't-blush-baby" affair in January, labelling the giant West Indian's behaviour inappropriate and even suggesting it was typical of him.

Gayle fired back in a post-competition social media post, taking to Instagram to say some former teammates "don't have the BALLs to stand firm when it matters."

However, the pair are now teammates and Gayle has jokingly suggested he has moved on from the fallout from the incident.

"Who would've thought this would happen??? want to punch him in the belly when taking this, but #RCB need him for #IPL," Gayle tweeted alongside a smiling photo of the pair this week.

Watson responded in kind, tweeting: "Amazing how the world works!!Now teammates @RCBTweets. Should be great fun batting with the new age Master Blaster," alongside his own copy of the image.
