Wawrinka and Cilic in Geneva Open final

Stan Wawrinka will fight Marin Cilic for the Geneva Open title in his last match before heading to Roland Garros to defend his grand slam crown there.

Top-seeded Stan Wawrinka will play Marin Cilic for the Geneva Open title after both advanced from the semi-finals on Friday.

French Open champion Wawrinka beat Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic 6-2 4-6 6-3 to reach his first final in his native Switzerland for 11 years.

Third-seeded Cilic eased past David Ferrer 7-5 7-5 to get his first clay-court victory over the second-seeded Spaniard at the third attempt.

Only one of Cilic's 14 career singles titles was on clay, four years ago at Umag in his native Croatia.

The final on Saturday is Wawrinka's last match before beginning the defence of his grand slam crown at Roland Garros next week.

Wawrinka is 9-0 in finals over the past three seasons.
