The weekend's A-League competition kicked off with a bang, with Brisbane Roar coach John Aloisi accusing Melbourne City of playing "anti-football" following their Friday night one-all draw at Suncorp Stadium.

Sydney FC Coach Graham Arnold has blasted the League's heat policy, after his side was forced to play in 34-degree heat against Perth Glory at NIB Stadium on Saturday night.
Arnold told Fox Sports he was worried something drastic would have to happen to prompt a change in policy.
"People can say I'm whingeing but we've been talking about this for five years. It's murder to try and play in these conditions, players at the highest level, and players losing 3 or 4 kilos a game, it's dangerous. That's what I said, when are we going to learn, when someone dies? That's the last thing we want."
The game finished in a nil-all draw. Sydney now drops down to fourth on the ladder, while Glory remain second last.

In Adelaide, a last minute goal by Newcastle Jets forward Tara Andrews spoiled victory for Adelaide United, with the game finishing at one-all.
Adelaide coach Jamie Harnwell was benevolent about their performance.
