Adam Jones and Jonathan Davies will both miss Wales's three remaining Test matches this year due to injury.
Both players sustained injuries in last Saturday's 24-15 loss to South Africa in Cardiff, with Ospreys prop Jones damaging his calf and Scarlets centre Davies tearing a muscle in his chest.
The pair will miss Saturday's game against Argentina at the Millennium Stadium as well as subsequent matches at the same venue against Tonga and Australia.
Davies, whose move to French club Clermont next year was announced earlier on Tuesday, is due to undergo surgery later this week, potentially ruling him out of the Six Nations.
Wales coach Warren Gatland had previously lost centre Jamie Roberts and prolific wing Alex Cuthbert to ankle injuries.
Gatland, who has added Scarlets props Samson Lee and Rhodri Jones and Newport Gwent Dragons backs Tom Prydie and Hallam Amos to his training squad, will announce his team to tackle Argentina on Thursday.
