Former St Kilda rookie Mark Hutchings has re-signed with West Coast for a further two years, tying him to the AFL club until the end of 2016.

And 19-year-old midfielder Brant Colledge has also penned a new two-year deal with the Eagles.

Hutchings has impressed in his 14 games this season, with his recent work as the team's No.1 tagger convincing the Eagles to reward him with a new deal.

The 23-year-old, who was delisted by St Kilda in 2010 without playing a game, has now played 23 matches over two years for the Eagles after being handed a career lifeline at the end of 2012.

"The last couple of years have been the best time of my life," Hutchings said.

"I'm stoked to be here for the next two years. I am looking forward to improving my football and being part of a successful team.

"The (run-with) role has been challenging, but it's something I have enjoyed, learning a bit more each time I play against some of the best players in the competition."

Colledge played two games early in the season, but his progress was stalled by a serious concussion followed by an ankle injury.

At 192cm and 90kg, Colledge started his career as a key forward prospect, but has since developed into a big-bodied midfielder.

The Eagles are also closing in on a new deal for ruckman Scott Lycett.
