Weston to quit Storm and NRL for Leigh

Dayne Weston, who played with Cronulla, North Queensland and Penrith before joining Melbourne two years ago, will move to England in December.

English second-tier side Leigh have signed Australian forward Dayne Weston on a two-year contract from Melbourne Storm.

The 28-year-old prop or second rower, who played in the NRL with Cronulla, North Queensland and Penrith before joining Melbourne two years ago, will link up with the Championship leaders in December.

"He joins us from Melbourne who are a club renowned for their excellent culture as well as their enterprising brand of rugby league and so as we endeavour to progress and better ourselves he is just the calibre of person we were looking for," Leigh coach Paul Rowley said.
