Westwood, Clarke to play in Aust Open

The field for next month's Australian Open is taking shape with Lee Westwood and Darren Clark confirming their entry.

Former world No.1 Lee Westwood and ex-British Open champion Darren Clarke are two more big names to be added to the list for the Australian Open next month.

Englishman Westwood and new Ryder Cup captain Clarke will join world No.1 Jordan Spieth and Adam Scott around The Australian Golf Club layout for the November 26-29 showpiece.

The 42-year-old Westwood won the Australian Open in 1997 at Melbourne's Metropolitan Golf Club while Clarke, 47, is best remembered for his British Open victory at Royal St George in 2011.
