Prime Minister Tony Abbott says the government that stopped the boats will stop the jihadists too.
He's vowing to protect Australia from people who leave the country to fight in Syria and Iraq, saying the government will strip them of their passports, or even their citizenship.
But as Thea Cowie reports, the pledge faces some hurdles.
