White powder found at Melbourne Airport

Police and firefighters have been called to Melbourne Airport after white powder was found at the Australia Post mail handling centre.

Federal police and firefighters are dealing with a white powder incident at the Australia Post mail handling centre at Melbourne Airport.

Australian Federal Police said the Metropolitan Fire Brigade had sent a number of trucks to deal with incident on Thursday night.

A spokesman said there was no disruption to flights or airport operations.
