The Whitsunday's Whitehaven beach has been voted the best piece of coastline in the South Pacific.
The Queensland beach was ranked the world's fifth-best and Australia's best in the Trip Advisor Travellers' Choice Awards for Beaches.
Western Australia's coastline also made the list for the top 25 beaches in the world, with Turquoise Bay in Exmouth at 20 and Cable Beach in Broome at 22.
The awards recognise more than 320 beaches around the world and are based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings posted on TripAdvisor over a year.
