Austrian Bernd Wiesberger fired a seven-under-par 65 to grab a four-shot clubhouse lead before the second round of the Shenzhen International was abandoned due to heavy rain and lightning on Friday.

Dylan Frittelli and Thorbjorn Olesen carded rounds of 68 to be second at eight under while Richie Ramsay was a stroke further back, alongside Bubba Watson and Gregory Bourdy - who are both midway through their rounds.

The best-placed Australian is Brett Rumford at three under, although he has completed just seven holes of his second round.

Wade Orsmby is at two under after five holes while Jason Scrivener has dropped back to one under, along with Andrew Dodt who carded a 73 on Friday.

Wiesberger headed to the Genzon Golf Club early to complete his first round - a 67 - after the opening day's play on Thursday was halted due to threat of lightning in the afternoon and then bad light.

He then scorched the course with a bogey-free second round to surge ahead to 12-under at the halfway mark.

"I can't complain about the score today," Wiesberger, who is chasing his fourth European Tour title, said.

"I started well and picked up from the day before."
