Wife of IS recruit facing passport charges

The Sydney wife of an Islamic State recruit accused of supporting overseas terrorism is facing four passport charges.

A Brisbane magistrates court adjourned passport related charges against accused supporter of incursions into a foreign state, Fatima Elomar.

Elomar, who is married to Islamic State recruit Mohamed Elomar, is already due to face a two-week trial in Sydney in November.

She was was detained at Sydney Airport in May last year trying to board an international flight with her children.

Crown prosecutor Justin Williams told the court he would request the passport charges be transferred to New South Wales at the next hearing in June.

She is charged with four counts of giving false information for an Australian travel document which is false or misleading.

Elomar has surrendered her passport and remains on bail.
