Several people have minor injuries and a dog has been washed down a drain after wild weather struck Canberra.
Emergency services received 310 calls for help as storms struck the nation's capital on Wednesday.
A dog reportedly fell through an uncovered manhole in Chapman, in Canberra's southwest, and was washed down the drain, emergency services said.
Several people were hurt in car accidents but no other injuries were reported.
The southern area of Tuggeranong received almost 65 millimetres of rain in an hour.
Canberra Hospital was flooded in parts, roads across the city were also flooded, two cars were hit by trees and police said tree branches were lying across roads in several areas.
Gusts of up to 74km/h were recorded at Canberra airport.
The Bureau of Meteorology says a severe weather warning remains in place.
