Wildcat charge after 36ers complain to NBL

Perth Wildcats assistant coach Adam Tatalovich has been charged by the NBL after Adelaide 36ers complained to the league about his role in a fiery melee.

The Adelaide 36ers have dobbed in Perth Wildcats' assistant coach Adam Tatalovich, who faces fresh charges as the bitter fall-out from Friday night's NBL melee continues.

Tatalovich has been charged with two offences by the NBL, after Adelaide complained to the league about his role in the fiery post-match scuffle.

Tatalovich has been charged with bringing the game into disrepute, and misconduct, as a result of Adelaide's complaint.

"These charges relate to alleged physical contact and abusive language directed at Adelaide coach Joey Wright," the NBL said in a statement on Wednesday.

"They follow an official complaint lodged with the NBL by the Adelaide 36ers. Additional evidence has emerged to support the charges."

On Monday, Adelaide coach Wright was charged with striking Tatalovich.

Wright will front judiciary hearing on Friday afternoon, a day before the 36ers fly to New Zealand for Sunday's fixture against the Breakers.

The 36ers complained to the league after Tatalovich initially avoided being charged from the melee after Perth's won the clash between the league's top two clubs on Friday night.

The allegations against Tatalovich, whose hearing date has yet to be set, will now likely form part of Wright's defence when the two-time NBL coach of the year faces the judiciary.

Both Perth and Adelaide have been found guilty of breaking the league's code of conduct, with the NBL yet to announce any sanctions.

But Perth Wildcats star James Ennis on Tuesday was cleared of striking, freeing him to play against the Melbourne Tigers on Friday night.
