Australia's Will Power is confident of revving it up at the Indianapolis 500 next week despite him starting from the third row of the grid after finishing ninth in qualifying.
"It was still good to be in the top nine, considering that you see some strong Hondas that didn't get in," said Power, who drives a Chevrolet for Team Penske.
"Obviously, Honda can wind their engines up a lot more when it comes to qualifying, but I think we've got a good race car.
"I think in race trim Chevrolet has a chance to win the race. Chevy has great reliability. We can definitely push hard during the race."
Two-time Formula One champion Fernando Alonso will start fifth in his Indianapolis 500 debut.
Alonso finished with a four-lap average of 231.300 mph in qualifying Sunday - after making an engine change.
The Spaniard was the first driver to top 231 on all four laps. It's the first time he's competed on an oval.
New Zealander Scott Dixon took the pole at 232.164.
Meanwhile, Melbourne's James Davison will replace the injured Sebastien Bourdais for Dale Coyne Racing.
Bourdais sustained multiple pelvic fractures and a fractured right hip in a crash on Saturday in trying to qualify for the race.
"These are never the circumstances a racing driver wants to find himself in the seat," Davison said.
"My thoughts are with Sebastien and Claire. I was with him in St. Petersburg two years ago, we trained a little together, and also he was my teammate in my rookie 500 three years ago.
"I'm excited to be in the 500, but the circumstances are unfortunate.
I'll be starting 33rd again, so I look forward to the challenge of securing the best possible job for Sebastien and the team."
