Black Caps skipper Kane Williamson isn't too worried about decision review system blunders which threatened to undermine a chance of a result in the Test against Pakistan in Hamilton.
The captain's decisions came under scrutiny on the final day of the match when he reviewed a not out decision against Azhar Ali for caught behind - which footage showed never got anywhere near the bat.
Not long after, the Kiwis were keen to review umpire Simon Fry's not out decision for an lbw appeal against Sami Aslam, who went on to make 91, but were refused because they took longer than 15 seconds to ask for it.
Footage and the ball tracking technology showed Aslam would have been given out.
"He [the umpire] did warn me and I still was still trying to get some information and I just missed the boat. I guess all's well that ends well."
Williamson defended the time it took to ask for the DRS.
"I was at cover. It's obviously hard to get an angle on the line of the delivery when you are in that position.
"The communication guys weren't sure. It's one of those things - it is tough. People have gone back in the replay and timed it and perhaps I was maybe in, just slightly, but it is cricket and that's the way it goes.
"It would be nice to get every review right but that's not the way it happens."
He pointed out they successfully reviewed a not out decision against Younis Khan, where the technology ruled he was out lbw.
New Zealand went on to take nine wickets in the final session and win the Test by 138 runs.
