Windies-Pakistan Test delicately poised

Going into the last day of the second Test, the West Indies enjoy a 183-run lead with just one second innings wicket remaining against Pakistan.

West Indies lost three wickets for one run before finishing on 9-264 at stumps on day four of the second Test for a 183-run lead over Pakistan on Wednesday.

Pakistan legspinner Yasir Shah took his 10th Test five-wicket haul, finishing with 6-90, to set up an intriguing final day.

His scalps included the key wickets of Shai Hope for 90 and Kraigg Brathwaite for 43.

Devendra Bishoo (16) and Shannon Gabriel (0) are the last men at the crease for West Indies.

Pakistan scored 393 in reply to the hosts' first-innings 312.

The visitors lead the three-match series 1-0 and are seeking their first Test-series win in the Caribbean.

West Indies have made it hard work for themselves. At one point after tea, they were more than 150 runs ahead with six wickets left and Hope approaching his maiden Test century after coming into bat with an average of only 15.

Hope was dismissed by Yasir at the end of the 89th over after sharing an 80-run partnership with Vishaul Singh. In the next delivery Mohammad Abbas (2-57) got Singh to play-on for 32.

It got even worse in the next over when Yasir dismissed Jason Holder (1), whose edge hit the wicketkeeper's glove before Younis Khan did well to hold on to the catch after fumbling his first attempt.

They lost three wickets for just one run as Pakistan clawed their way back into the game.
