Port Adelaide midfielder Ollie Wines and Essendon's Adam Cooney will be denied the chance to play on Anzac Day due to injuries.
Wines (fractured wrist) and Cooney (hamstring) were hurt on the weekend and will miss blockbuster games against Hawthorn and Collingwood respectively.
"He'll possibly miss somewhere between four and six weeks," Port coach Ken Hinkley told radio station SEN.
It is Wines' first setback since being taken with pick No.7 in the 2012 draft.
"When he came off with a sore arm I knew it was something serious, because Ollie doesn't come off," Hinkley said after Port's eight-point win over North Melbourne.
"He hasn't missed a game in these two and a bit years."
With the 100th anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli being on a Saturday, five AFL games are being played.
None will carry the same sense of occasion as the traditional meeting between Collingwood and Essendon at the MCG, but Cooney won't be there.
"He'd be really disappointed," Dons defender Cale Hooker told the Seven Network.
"He was in good spirits after the game, but I'm sure inside he's really hurting.
"The boys love him and we're really going to miss him for the next three or four weeks."
St Kilda, who face Carlton on Anzac Day, are expected to be without skipper Nick Riewoldt.
Riewoldt suffered a fresh calf injury last Friday night, when he was a last-minute withdrawal against Collingwood.
Meanwhile, North Melbourne hard nut Jack Ziebell will spend a second night in hospital due to bruised lungs.
Ziebell was coughing up blood after a brutal collision with Wines in Saturday night's clash at Etihad Stadium.
"They're still waiting to have a look at more scans. I texted him last night, he seemed in pretty good spirits," Kangaroos utility Shaun Higgins told the Nine Network.
North were short of fresh legs against Port due to Ziebell's early departure to hospital, while Geelong finished their game against Gold Coast with one fit man on the bench.
Cats coach Chris Scott noted Jimmy Bartel (knee) and Mathew Stokes (ankle) are unlikely to make quick returns.
